David Wojahn’s ninth collection of poetry, For the Scribe, will be published by University of Pittsburgh Press in 2017. His eighth collection, World Tree (University of Pittsburg Press, 2011), was awarded the 2012 Lenore Marshall Poetry Prize from the Academy of American Poets. His collection Interrogation Palace: New and Selected Poems 1982-2004 (University of Pittsburg Press, 2006) was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and winner of the 2007 O.B. Hardison, Jr. Poetry Prize from the Folger Shakespeare Library. Wojahn’s newest collection of essays, From the Valley of Making: Essays on the Craft of Poetry, was published by University of Michigan Press in 2015. He has received numerous awards and honors, among them a Guggenheim Fellowship, two NEA fellowships, the Amy Lowell Traveling Poetry Scholarship, and the Carole Weinstein Poetry Prize. Wojahn teaches at Virginia Commonwealth University and at Vermont College of Fine Arts.
