Wyatt Prunty


Wyatt Prunty’s latest poetry collection, The Lover’s Guide to Trapping, is forthcoming in the spring of 2009 from the Johns Hopkins University Press. Prunty’s other poetry collections include Unarmed and Dangerous: New and Selected Poems (2000) and Since the Noon Mail Stopped (1997), also from Johns Hopkins. In 2005, he was elected to the Fellowship of Southern Writers; he has also earned fellowships from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, Johns Hopkins University, and the Brown Foundation. He has taught at Johns Hopkins University, Louisiana State University, Washington and Lee University, and the Bread Loaf School of English and Writers’ Conference. Prunty is Carlton Professor of English at the University of the South, where he is Director of the Sewanee Writer’s Conference.  end
