M.L. Brown’s poems have appeared in Gertrude, Rattle, PMS poemmemoirstory, The Comstock Review, Birmingham Poetry Review, and elsewhere. In 2006, she received first place recognition from the Poetry Society of New Hampshire for her poem “Exeunt,” and she was a finalist for the 2007 Ekphrasis Prize for her poem “What You Need to Charm Birds.” She has an MFA from Antioch University–Los Angeles.
