Chard  deNiord is the author of three poetry collections, Night Mowing (University   of Pittsburgh Press,  2005), Sharp Golden Thorn (Marsh Hawk  Press, 2003), and Asleep in the Fire (University  of Alabama Press, 1990). His work was also published in The Pushcart Book of Poetry (Pushcart Press, 2006). His poems and  essays have recently appeared in the New  England Review, Literary Imagination,Salmagundi, The American  Poetry Review, and The Hudson Review. He is an associate  professor of English and creative writing at Providence  College in Rhode Island and is a cofounder of the New  England College MFA Program in Poetry.
