Sandy Longhorn won the Anhinga Prize for Poetry for her collection Blood Almanac (Anhinga Press, 2006). Her poems have recently appeared or are forthcoming in The American Poetry Journal, Copper Nickel, diode, Free Verse, Meridian Magazine, Redactions, and elsewhere. She has received an Individual Artist Fellowship from the Arkansas Arts Council. She teaches at Pulaski Technical College in Arkansas.
