Gregory Kimbrell is the author of the forthcoming poetry collection The Primitive Observatory (Southern Illinois University Press, 2016), which was selected for the 2014 Crab Orchard Series in Poetry First Book Award. His poetry has appeared in The Abaculi Project and The Laurel Review. His reviews have appeared in Blackbird, for which he served as associate production editor and lead copyeditor. He is the events and programs coordinator for Virginia Commonwealth University Libraries and copyeditor for The Abaculi Project.
