Catherine Staples is the author of The Rattling Window (Ashland Poetry Press, 2013), winner of the 2012 Robert McGovern Publication Prize. Her chapbook, Never a Note Forfeit (Seven Kitchens Press, 2011), was selected for the 2010 Keystone Prize. Her poems and reviews have appeared in Poetry, The Southern Review, Prairie Schooner, Michigan Quarterly Review, Rattle, and 32 Poems, among others. She is the recipient of a 2014 Walter E. Dakin Fellowship from the Sewanee Writers’ Conference and the 2011 Southern Poetry Review’s Guy Owen Award. She teaches in the English and Honors programs at Villanova University and is the recipient of Villanova University’s 2014 Tolle Lege Award for Teaching Excellence.
