Ruth Madievsky’s debut poetry collection, Emergency Brake (forthcoming from Tavern Books, 2016) will be published as the 2015–2016 Wrolstad Contemporary Poetry Series selection. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Rattle, West Branch, ZYZZYVA, and elsewhere. She writes for Los Angeles Magazine and is a doctoral student at the University of Southern California’s School of Pharmacy.
