             Elinor Benedict won the May Swenson Poetry
              Award with her first collection, All That Divides Us (Utah
              State University, 2000). She has also published five chapbooks
              of poetry,
              several short stories, and numerous interviews, reviews, and newspaper
              features. Her poems have recently appeared in Poetry, Shenandoah,
              Indiana Review, The Florida Review, and Dogwood.
              She is currently working on a new collection called Late News
              from the Wilderness.
              She holds an MA from Wright State University and an MFA from Vermont
              College. She was the founding editor of Passages North literary
              magazine in the 1980’s. A native Tennessean, she lives in Michigan,
              where, for several years, she led a writers’ workshop at Bay de
            Noc Community College.
