Carolyne Wright’s most recent collection
of poetry, Seasons of Mangoes and Brainfire (Lynx House, 2000),
received the Blue Lynx Prize, the Oklahoma Book Award in Poetry,
and an American Book Award from the Before Columbus Foundation.
Other books of poetry include Premonitions of an Uneasy Guest,
winner of the AWP Award Series for Poetry (Hardin-Simmons University,
1983), and Stealing the Children (Ahsahta Press, 1978), as well
as an invitational chapbook, Carolyne Wright: Greatest Hits
1975-2001 (Pudding House). Her collection of essays, A
Choice of Fidelities: Lectures and Readings from a Writer's Life, was published by Ashland
Poetry Press in 1994. She has also published translations of Spanish
and Bengali poetry. Forthcoming are A Change of Maps (Lost Horse,
2006) and an anthology, Majestic Nights: Love Poems by Bengali
Women (White Pine, 2007).
