Susan Terris is the author of several poetry collections, including Natural Defenses (Marsh Hawk, 2004); Fire Is Favorable to the Dreamer (Arctos, 1999) named “Best Poetry Book of 2003” by the Bay Area Independent Publishers Association); Curved Space (La Jolla Poets, 1998); and the chapbooks Poetic License (Adastra, 2004), Angels of Bataan (Pudding House, 1999), and Eye of the Holocaust (Arctos, 1999). She has also written twenty-one books for children and young adults, including Nell’s Quilt (Farrar, Straus & Giroux, 1996). Terris’s work has appeared in The Antioch Review, FIELD, Connecticut
Review, The Iowa Review, Ploughshares, Calyx, Shenandoah, Rattapallax, Hotel
Amerika, Missouri Review, and Southern California
Anthology. With CB Follett, she co-edits the annual anthology RUNES:
